On September 4, 2026, Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus (KUSRC) welcomed a group of international students from Mahidol University to the "Sawasdee Thailand" event, offering them a close-up experience of Thai culture at Building 9, Student Activity Center. The event was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Sathaporn Chuepeng, Vice President for Sriracha Campus, who delivered a warm welcome speech to all participants.

The program featured various activities designed to let international students truly experience the Thai way of life. It began with a visit to the Ban Ao Udom community, where students learned the art of Thai cooking and gained hands-on experience making the popular dish Som Tum (Papaya Salad) and the local specialty Pu Ja (Deep-Fried Crab Meat and Minced Pork). Following this cultural immersion, the students traveled to Central Sriracha department store for a special lecture by the Central Retail team, a leading retail organization in the Sriracha area. This session provided the participants with profound insights into business administration and retail management in Thailand.

This initiative was driven and organized by a student group from the Student Development to Excellence Center (SDEC), Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, in close collaboration with the Corporate Communication and International Affairs Section. The event not only effectively showcased the cultural identity and potential of the Sriracha area but also successfully strengthened the network and good relationships between the students of both institutions.
